Google tried to play an April Fools' Day prank on its users, but the only fool left standing by the end was the Internet giant!
Gmail users found a "Mic Drop" option added on to their email service on Friday morning — a new feature from the search experts that allegedly allowed users to respond to email threads with an animated GIF of one of the minions from Despicable Me dropping a microphone.
That feature, according to Google's not-yet-known prank, was supposed to mute the thread for the sender, leaving many users scared that email threads on which they used the mic drop were deleted and unrecoverable!!
