The Field Of Dreams Field Has Been Sold!

You know that corn field in Iowa where they filmed The Field of Dreams?

It's been sold!

Just don't freak out — it's been sold in the best way possible. The location is going to be turned into a youth baseball complex!

The property had been for sale for about 2.5 years, and ended up selling for almost 3.5 million dollars! We'd say it's worth it — it's a beautiful home, beautiful location, and has a beautiful history!

We couldn't think of a better way to honor the classic film, to be honest!

Organizing Check Off Lists Put Moms in Motion This Holiday!

Filed under: HolidazeAdviceJohn Trosko

John Trosko Organizer

With the holidays here moms will no doubt inherit more chores, shopping, wrapping, hosting, decorating and seasonal entertaining in addition to regular daily household tasks. That’s why it’s essential to get organized and make use of list-making for the holidays. Lists help to:

• Save time by using the lists year after year;
• Save money and not go over budget;
• Decrease overwhelm by breaking larger tasks into smaller ones;
• Allow you to share the lists with family and see how they’d like to contribute;
• Make you s-l-o-w down and articulate your plans;
• Lessen the fear that you will forget something.

Re-usable lists are most effective for short-term deadline driven events like a holiday dinner. Samples of check off lists could include:

• Holiday menu list;
• Shopping lists for food and beverage;
• Party guest list (names, numbers, emails);
• What is needed to prepare your guest bedroom;
• Cleaning, home maintenance and repair tasks;
• Décor and tabletop ideas;
• List of potluck participants and their dishes;
• Store shopping sales and items to purchase (Black Friday deals).

Save your lists for next season and build on them–imagine how much time you’ll save next year by just altering the prior year’s lists. Congratulate yourself for mastering the muck, and relax knowing you’ll spend more time enjoying family and friends this holiday season (if that’s what you want!)

Quickfit Tip Of The Day

white 1

Don’t go shopping for food when you are deprived of food or hungry. There is a greater temptation to buy foods that aren’t ideal for your fat loss goals, so shop after you have eaten.

We previously mentioned that Frankie Muniz was admitted to a hospital after suffering a "mini stroke."

The 26-year-old wound up in the hospital last Friday after being unable to see or speak properly!

He said:

"I couldn't say words. I thought I was saying them. My fiancée was looking at me as if I was speaking a foreign language."

He was apparently riding his motorcycle in Phoenix on Friday when he suddenly lost vision in one eye and his body became numb.

That's incredibly dangerous! What if he was going really fast?!

When it comes to building houses for those in need, no one does it like former President Jimmy Carter!

So of course when Garth Brooks wanted to help others he decided to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity!

He joined the hundreds of volunteers who have built over 100 homes in the Port-au-Prince area, hardest hit by the big Haiti earthquake.

People just think that because it's out of the news, the problem is over, but many are still living without proper homes!
