Lance Armstrong Back Under Federal Investigation

Lance Armstrong

Okay, this is just getting ridiculous now. Either string him up or let him be.

Lance Armstrong is apparently at the center of a new federal criminal investigation.

Even though we just reported it seems like he's off the hook, it turns out that that might not be the case!

Beef Inspection Finds Serious Yucky Risks!

We always knew beef had risks, especially after hearing about pink slime, but after the Kansas City Star closely investigated the meat, we have become even more turned off by this icky edible!

The meat industry has been claiming that meat is safer than ever, but once the news source revealed that they found Fecal Contamination in beef, there's no way we can believe them.

The Star reported what was found at one of Tyson's beef plants, and we must say, it's NOT pretty:

Farrah Fawcett Foundation Under Investigation For Fraud

Farrah Fawcett

Uh oh, this can't be good.

The California Attorney General's Office of Charitable Trust is investigating the Farrah Fawcett Foundation for potential mismanagement of funds, diversion of assets, and fraud!

The foundation formed in 2009 after Farrah Fawcett lost her long battle with cancer. Its mission is to provide funding for alternative methods of cancer research, prevention, and awareness.

Both the Farrah Fawcett Foundation and the Farrah Fawcett Living Trust, which funds the foundation, had been ordered at some point during the summer to turn over their financial records and estate planning documents within 60 days.

Richard B. Francis, the trustee of the estate and chairman of the foundation, as well as the foundation's president, Alana Stewart, are calling the investigation outrageous, but are being fully cooperative.

It's so sad to see hear of possible fraud in an organization meant to honor the late actress and provide funds to fight the disease that took her life!

We're crossing our fingers that this is just a misunderstanding!

UK Police Investigating 'Disturbing' Cage Fight Between 8-Year-Old Boys

Is 8-years-old old enough to cage fight?

Police in the United Kingdom are investigating whether two children, as young as 8, were put at risk by event organizers after they wrestled each other in front of a crowd of adults.

A video (above) of the bout has been posted on YouTube and while some completely condone the event, others believe it has crossed the line.

Child protection services are calling the fight "disturbing" and advocating against any parent allowing their young child to participate in such a violent sport, saying:

"We would strongly discourage parents from letting their children take part in this kind of fighting. It's quite disturbing that some of those involved in the bouts were as young as eight, an age when they are still developing, physically and mentally."

The father of a boy in the ring says otherwise and doesn't see any problems with allowing his son to participate, explaining:

"He loves the sport. It's not one bit dangerous, it's a controlled sport. He likes to do it, he's never forced to do it, he wants to do it, so leave him to do it. He'll never get hurt, it's a controlled sport, he could never get hurt. Until he gets a bit older and he starts doing physical contact, kicking and punching, then maybe, but at his age it's wrestling, like grappling."

Michelle Anderson, the owner of the club which held the event, is also defending the fight, saying:

"The children were not doing cage fighting, they were just grappling. There was no punching, kicking or striking. The event was perfectly legal. There was only one fight for kids, which was a demonstration fight. The other fights were for adults."

Thankfully, there was no kicking or punching, but what shocked us the most is the lack of any padding! Children can begin wrestling as young as 5-years-old, but at least the sport requires head gear.

Perhaps what is so striking about the video is the presence of 250 cheering adults, announcers commentating on the match, or the giant metal cage that has become synonymous with brutal mixed martial art fights. Would the public be having the same reaction if these two boys were wrestling each other in a school gym or in their family living room?

This is a VERY controversial debate, so we'll let you be the judge! Are people overreacting to the video or are supporters of the event underestimating the dangerous position they put these two kids in?

In a previous post about the dangers of youth boxing, we asked FitPerez readers, "Is boxing too dangerous for kids under 19?" The answer was overwhelmingly "YES"!

FBI Wants Surveillance Tape Showing Lance Armstrong's Alleged Confrontation With Accuser

Filed under: Legal MattersLance ArmstrongBike ItCycling

Lance Armstrong surveillance tape

The dramz continues for Lance Armstrong!

After Tyler Hamilton's report of "aggressive contact" at a Colorado restaurant with the man he accused of illegally doping on 60 Minutes, the FBI is requesting the surveillance footage to investigate any witness tampering.

Jodi Larner, co-owner of the restaurant and Lance's friend, has said that the coincidental meeting wasn't nearly as aggressive as Hamilton claims, while Lance described it as "certainly awkward for both of us" but "truly uneventful."

However, Ms. Larner doesn't think the video will be much help to the FBI because the confrontation took place at the bar, but the surveillance only covers the kitchen area.

We wish there was more hard evidence to back up either side's story, hopefully authorities get to the bottom of this soon.

Do U think Lance aggressively confronted Tyler Hamilton or this guy exaggerating in order to vilify the 7-time Tour de France champion?
