Seeing Karl Lagerfeld without sunglasses is like Lindsay Lohan having a year without legal problems - it never happens!
But alas! Thursday proved to be a cold day in hell because the designer actually took off his sunnies while dining with friends in Rome.
So what provoked the godfather of Chanel to remove his ever-present shades?
To show off pictures of his pretty kitty Choupette!
Pussies: people will do crazy things for them.

Recycling is taking the fashion route, and we like it!
Diamond Supply Co. came up with a super cool idea: take multicolored skateboard decks and transform them into chic sunnies that are way too cute.
The recycled shades come in the stylish Wayfarer shape, and if you already have the iPhone case also made of out recycled boards, then you are ready to rock these new sunglasses!
Unfortunately, no price has been given yet, but because the specs are eco-friendly, expect to pay a pretty little penny.
Will U be rockin' recycled shades?!?

Nerd alert!
The masterminds over at Apple are reportedly working to create 3D iPod glasses.
Apple filed a patent for the "Head-Mounted Display Apparatus For Retaining a Portable Electronic Device With Display" back in August of 2008. So we're guessing these are still in the beginning stages, if that.
So how would it work?
The glasses would allow you to stream AV content from a portable device like your iPod or iPhone, so the user can "relax while viewing image based content on the head-mounted device because he does not have to hold onto the portable electronic device."
The patent also mentions that the glasses would have head movement sensors that "can associate a particular head movement with a command for controlling an operating of the head-mounted display system".
Sounds geektastic!
Would U sport a pair of iPod glasses???
