This is unforgivable.
In Malaysia, an animal boarding business has been described as a “pet hotel from hell.”
Observing Malaysian holidays, pet owners had to travel, so they boarded their cats at one of two faciliites.
When they got back they found both locations locked and abandoned…
With all the cats still inside!
Nine of the over 300 cats were dead. The rest were hungry, dehydrated or covered in excrement and urine.
In Malaysia, the fine for animal cruelty is about $65. After this incident the Veterinary Services Department head in Malaysia has plans to increase the fine to $34,000 by next year.
That’s a step in the right direction. After locking up the owners of the boarding facilities, of course.

A man in Malaysia has caught a 45 lb. frog! According to a source:
“[His] friend offered to buy the frog for RM500 [~$167] but the [man] demanded RM1,000 [~$335] instead. As the friend was not having enough money with him at that time, he went home to get more money” […]
"When my friend returned to the [man's] house with the money, he discovered that the giant frog had been slaughtered and eaten. It was also learnt that the [man] fell ill after consuming the frog and until today, he is still bed-ridden and unable to move around."
We can understand maybe trying to eat it before it eats you, but maybe it would’ve been best to donate it to a museum. Or at least charge people to go for “frog rides.” LOLz.

This is crazzzzy!
A 55-year-old woman in the jungle region of northern Malaysia rescued her husband from a tiger by beating the beast on the head with a large wooden soup ladle.
What sounds like a suicide attempt actually worked and she successfully chased the tiger away from her husband who was nearly killed.
The woman's husband was attacked while hunting squirrels near their home in a jungle settlement of the Jahai tribe.
He tried to escape by climbing a tree, but was ripped down by the tiger. When his wife heard his screams and ran out, armed to the teeth, with a soup ladle.
While recovering at a local hospital, the victim of the attack said:
"I was terrified and I used all my strength to punch the animal in the face, but it would not budge. I had to wrestle with it to keep its jaws away from me, and it would have clawed me to death if my wife had not arrived."
Hunting squirrels? Climbing trees? Attacked by tigers? Three more terrifying reminders why we don't live in the jungle.
