Awww isn't appropriate for this story.

We're going to have to go with the all caps AWWW!!!

A dog was found and subsequently rescued along a creek in South Carolina, but it might have been the dog who was doing all the rescuing.

The dog was nursing a kitten at the bottom of an embarkment near the creek, and is believed to have been there with the kitty cat for at least two days!

Sea Lion Pup & Mother Reunited After Some Special Care!

sea lion pup mother nursing care happy ending

We're really trying to control ourselves from writing out 'awwww' with an infinite number of w's here! This is TOO cute, and what a happy ending!

A female California Sea Lion pup was born on April 17th the Oceans of Fun exhibit at the Milwaukee County Zoo Born — her name is Talise. She weighed of 17 pounds at birth, which is healthy! The only issue is that her mother lacked the skills needed to nurse her, which is sadly common for first time mother Sea Lions!

So the Milwaukee Zoo veterinarian team took it upon themselves to provide the her with 24 hour care with specially developed formula to serve as a substitute for her mom's milk!

Here's the cool thing: just a week of care, keepers were able to reunite Talise with her mom… who is now nursing like a pro!

Awwww (times a million w's)! What happy story!!

Baby Lions Will Steal Your Heart!

Lion cubs

Back on April 7th, four Asiatic Lion cubs were born at the Emmen Zoo in Holland.

The little guys are so crazy cute it hurts!

They were born to proud parents Zulu, the papa, and Tia, the mama.

The night house den, a behind the scenes enclosure, was cleared of all other lions, so Tia and her babies could bond during the critical first few weeks of life.

With a live webcam back there, the keepers have been able to monitor the cubs as they nurse, bond and grow bigger and bigger each day.

Tia is apparently an excellent mother.

So glad that all the little cubs are happy and healthy!

The world can always use a few more lions.

OMG!!!

He's like a little teddy bear! But a teddy monkey!

This is the tiniest, cutest, little baby monkey we've ever seen.

All he's doing is hanging out in his tiny crib, drinking from a bottle…

And we could watch all day!

Check out the video (above) for some serious cuteness.

Cuban Farm Dog Nurses Puppies And Piglets

Yeti the farm dog

Yeti, the Cuban farm dog, not only nurses her new litter of pups… she also nurses 14 piglets!

This isn’t one of those stories of an animal adopting a baby animal of a different species whose mother had died: the piglets' mother is still alive.

When the piglets were around 15-days-old they started following Yeti around and nursing from her on their own. And Yeti obliged.

One of the farm owners said:

“No one imposed this on the dog. The piglets discovered this on their own and began nursing with her when they turned 15 days old.”

Originally thinking the dog wouldn’t let the piglets nurse, the owner said:

“When the piglets ventured outside their pen, it seems they smelled the dog’s milk and began screaming at her. In the beginning we didn’t think the dog would let them suckle, but they insisted so much they ended up nursing with her.”

What a caring mama!
