Hollywood moves at super sonic speeds!

For those of you that were in a coma (or just taking a really long awesome nap) during all of last week, this happened: A Hong Kong real estate tycoon is offering $63 million to any man capable of convincing his lesbian daughter to dump the woman she married last spring, and to enter holy matrimony with him instead.

Now, Paramount Pictures has just announced that they've hired Sacha Baron Cohen will be making this cooky story into a movie!

Tentatively dubbed The Lesbian, the film may star Baron Cohen, who will produce it through his production company. A writer has not been attached.

We're sure Mr. Baron Cohen will handle this delicate story with grace and class.

JK!!!!!!!!

The original Funny Girl is ready to split sides once more!!

Paramount released the poster for her upcoming flick, The Guilt Trip … and now, we're more excited than ever before!

The road movie stars Barbra Streisand as a smothering Mom who guilts her man-child son Seth Rogen into letting her come along for a business trip!

The subdued Anne Fletcher will direct, which is an interesting choice over someone more outrageous like Judd Apatow!

Actually, we're thankful. We don't think we could handle seeing Seth and Babs in a cringeworthy adult breastfeeding scene!

This flick opens Christmas Day and tix for this are exactly what a moviegoer might want in their stocking!

And by moviegoer, we mean us. :) Cya at the theater! Double showing after Les Mis! Who's in?!

Amazon Prime's instant video selection just doubled thanks to a new deal with EPIX, a video on-demand service that was previously exclusive to Netflix.

With an extra 2,000 titles in stock, the deal does wonders for Amazon, but already cost Netflix stock an 1%1 loss in share value. Now both competitive streaming services will receive titles from Paramount, MGM, and Lionsgate 90 days after hey run on traditional pay TV.

Following the expiration of Epix's exclusivity with Netlflix, the company isn't limiting itself to just two outlets either. Executives will continue to talk to other distributors for possible deals.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings has said that Epix's library was "not a particularly large source of total viewing," but we wonder if his company can continue to thrive while competitors are slowly gaining the edge in the market.

Guess time will tell!

Tom Cruise has already stated that he "will really miss" his "dear friend" Tony Scott and so will fans of the duo's 1986 classic, Top Gun.

It turns out they were actively working on the sequel!

Scott actually spent the last days of his life in preparation for the project. According to sources, both the director and Cruise toured a naval air station in Nevada last Friday to research the movie!

This only adds more mystery as to why such a successful man with what seems like so much to live for would decide to take his own life.

Whatever the answer to that difficult question is, we may never actually know, but probably don't need to anyway.
