This is so sad!

An English Coroner slammed the fashion industry and magazines in the inquest into the death of a 14 year old from Somerset, England.

Last year Fiona Geraghty was found dead in her room of an apparent suicide by hanging after struggling with an eating disorder, which her parents believe was the direct result of being bullied.

Coroner Michael Rose listed the cause of death as "misadventure", but rather than pointing the finger at the so-called "mean girls" he flat out blamed the fashion industry's constant use of waif thin models.

Miranda Kerr Starts Suicide Prevention Campaign

Miranda Kerr is using her star power for good.

Back in 2009, Kerr’s cousin committed suicide which left the family heartbroken.

So the 28-year-old has launched an Australian TV campaign in order to help prevent others from doing the same.

Miranda, her brother, and their parents have launched the Too Many, Too Soon Kids Helpline, aimed to help raise suicide prevention awareness and offer help to those in need.

Miranda reveals:

"The sadness of losing someone, especially in these circumstances, is something we live with and we continually question how it could be prevented.

There's not really a great awareness about the services available to kids and that's why I'm behind this great cause. If we can reach just one child and let them know there is someone out there who wants to listen, that could help to save their life. I believe if my cousin had known of Kids Helpline it may well have saved his life."

Sounds like a great cause!

Was Model Ruslana Korshunova In A Cult???

filmmaker-blames-ruslana-korshunova-suicide-on-russian-cult-rose-of-the-world.jpg

Almost 3 years after jumping off the 9th floor of a New York building, a filmmaker claims supermodel Ruslana Korshunova may have been associated with a Russian cult.

While researching her mysterious death for a documentary, Peter Pomerantsev discovered a friend of the model Anastasia Drozdova also committed suicide in the same fashion. He met with Anastasia's mother and showed him notes scribbled on paper from Rose of the World.

Pomerantsev did some more digging and found both Ruslana and Anastasia went to a three-day course put on by the organization, which claimed they will "teach you how to realize your goals and achieve material wealth".

During the seminars people are asked to "confess their worst experiences". In an article written for Newsweek, Peter said Ruslana "was the most enthusiastic speaker. She spoke about her father’s death, her failed romance—cried publicly, laughed violently."

The two models continued going to these $1000+ workshops and it wasn't long before friends started noticing changes in their behavior:

"Volodya, a true believer who works as an assistant at the Rose, claims this is normal: “Ruslana had what we call a ‘rollback.’ She felt a little strange. You’d find her wandering round town, unsure what she was doing there. Maybe she’d cry at night. But she couldn’t have killed herself. We cured her of any problems she might have. And Anastasia? She was messed up already. We tried to help her, we really tried. But she refused transformation. Blame modeling, maybe drugs, not us."

Creepy.

In the end we'll probably never know, but the findings are definitely inneresting.

Thoughts???

Model Noemie Lenoir Talks About Her Depression And Suicide Attempt

Last May we told you about model Noemie Lenoir and her struggle with depression.

Noemie was found in forest near the Paris home of her boyfriend at the time, unconscious after allegedly mixing alcohol and pills, and was rushed to the hospital.

A few months later she started modeling again.

And now almost a year later, Noemie is ready to talk about her awful ordeal. Reveals the lingerie model:

“Last May, I did something really, really stupid. I had been living in New York and I moved back to Paris, to try again with the father of my son."

Noemie has a 6-year-old son with her footballer ex-beau, Claude Makélélé. She adds:

"It was a big change. I wasn't so healthy in Paris… I couldn't find a gym, and exercise is important to me because I am very hyper. I came straight from New York to living in Claude's house, and I really wanted it to work, and it didn't work out. He hurt me… so I decided… I don't know how to say this. It was like a bad, bad depression, a very deep depression. I felt really alone.

It wasn't just like, 'I'm here, don't ignore me.' Nothing like that. I really thought I wanted… I decided to… "

And to answer the question of how she could consider killing herself and leaving her baby behind, she reveals:

"People say, 'How could she do it, how could she try and kill herself, didn't she think about her son?' But they don't understand. I love my son so much. But I didn't think I was good enough, I thought I was poison. Poison for me and poison for him. When I was depressed I felt like I was poisoning his life by being in it. I thought he would be better with his dad and my mum to look after him. I didn't realise I was hurting anyone, until I woke up in the hospital and saw my mum crying."

Thankfully, we're glad to report that Noemie says she's feeling much better, physically and emotionally.

A year ago today, the fashion industry lost one of the most creative designers it's ever seen — Alexander McQueen.

Like the rest of the world we were shocked, heartbroken and deeply saddened to discover Lee tragically took his own life on February 11th, just days after the passing of his own mother.

In honor of the late designer, we have created a gallery of Lee McQueen's biggest fans wearing his creations.
