Eddie Ray Routh Found Guilty For The Murder Of American Sniper Chris Kyle

On Tuesday, a jury from the Erath County District Court found Eddie Ray Routh guilty for the murder of Chris Kyle, the inspiration for the Clint Eastwood-directed film American Sniper.

The ex-Marine was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Prosecutors did not seek the death penalty.

In February 2013, the 27-year-old shot Kyle and Chad Littlefield at the Rough Creek Lodge and Resort's shooting range in Texas.

The former member of the Marine Corps had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, claiming he was under psychosis when he released fire on the Navy Seal and his friend. A veteran of the Iraq war, he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia since becoming a soldier.

Days after Suge Knight was arrested on murder charges for the fatal hit and run he was involved in on Thursday night, the rapper has reportedly come up with a defense for his upcoming trial.

Apparently the 49-year-old is planning on telling the court he didn't know he hit someone before fleeing the scene.

According to sources close to the rap mogul, they're saying Suge claims he was fearful for his life when he stepped on the gas pedal of his truck that fateful night.

While the New England Patriots are getting ready to play in the Super Bowl, their former teammate Aaron Hernandez is officially standing trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd. On Friday, Lloyd's girlfriend took the stand and contradicted Aaron's defense.

Shaneah Jenkins, the sister of Aaron's girlfriend and the person who introduced the NFLer to Lloyd, said the two men were at the "beginning stages of a friendship" and they "would hang out and smoke." She also said the only time they hung out without her was the one time when Lloyd ended up dead.

Yesterday, a judge from the Ozaukee County Circuit Court ordered a trial for the Christmas Day stabbing incident involving former Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond.

Judge Determines Two Girls Charged In Slender Man Stabbing Case Are Competent To Stand Trial

The two girls who stabbed their classmate 19 times and claimed it as a tribute to an internet fictional character Slender Man have been found competent to stand trial by a judge in a Wisconsin courthouse.

The decision happened on Thursday after two hearings for the two girls, and the decision was made by Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren.

One of the girls, who had shackles on, told the judge that she did not believe she was competent to stand trial.
