After lots of pressure from Congress, the TSA has finally decided to study the effects of X-ray body scanners.
Odds are you or someone you know has been though a TSA full body backscatter scanner at least once before.
They are going to contract with the National Academy of Sciences to study the health effects of these machines.

On Monday we heard that Kris Humphries is giving his wife Kim Kardashian an earful over her expensive shopping habits. Well, if it had not been for one Good Samaritan at a Minnesota airport last Friday, he would have been getting an earful for losing his $10,000 wedding band!
Apparently, the NBA player took off the expensive ring to go through a metal detector at a TSA checkpoint in Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport.
After completing the security check, he attempted to place the ring back on his finger, but accidentally dropped it.
If you've ever dropped change, you've seen how fast it can scatter across the floor, so we imagine it's not hard to lose track of a wedding ring!

The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.
Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:
"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."
That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:
"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."
She added:
"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."
Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...
