WVU Baseball Team Goes On HUGE Shopping Spree For Oklahoma Tornado Victims!

This is just flat-out AWESOME!

A ton of athletes like Kevin Durant and Matt Kemp have been showing support and donating to the families affected by the devastating Oklahoma tornado earlier this week, and now the West Virginia University baseball team is getting in on the action!

Head coach Randy Mazey took the Mountaineers to their local Walmart where the boys stuffed their carts with clothes, food, and other supplies for all of the victims in need!

Ch-ch-check out their inspirational shopping spree (above)!

It definitely shows that the players are more than happy to take some time and help out any way they can, especially since a few of them are actually from Oklahoma!

We have to give MAJOR props to West Virginia University for this amazing act of kindness!

Way to go, Mountaineers!

Dallas Cowboy's QB Tony Romo is a rep for Starter, sportswear available at Walmart.

Romo released a new campaign for Starter that coincides with the new football season.

The campaign directly addressed the pressure that he and the Dallas Cowboys are under to win a championship.

If anyone can handle that type of pressure, it's Tony Romo.

Check out the video (above) to hear how he stays focused and overcomes pressure!

Also… sneak a peek at his bulging muscles as he works out! Mmm hmm.

Walmart May Or May Not Become A Major Healthcare Provider

Walmart healthcare

Walmart is making MIGHT be making moves to become a major healthcare provider!

Sources reported that the largest retailer in the U.S. sent out a request for potential partners last month that would help the chain become "the largest provider of primary care services in the nation." According to the document from the company:

"Walmart intends to build a national, integrated, low-cost primary care healthcare platform that will provide preventative and chronic care services that are currently out of reach for millions of Americans. Walmart intends to do this in an affordable and accessible way while maintaining or improving quality outcomes. Walmart seeks partners who have a care model or capability that can help dramatically drive down the cost of care, while maintaining or improving quality on a national level."

Shoppers could have expected services including simple physicals, urine tests, and vaccinations, but now we're not so sure.

Since the story broke, Walmart is DENYING their healthcare expansion plans and have called the document that outlines their plans "overwritten and incorrect."

In a recent statement, the senior vice president & president of Walmart U.S. health & wellness said, "We are not building a national, integrated, low-cost primary care health care platform."

Hmm…guess we'll have to wait and see what Walmart has up their sleeve!

Walmart Of Weed Comes To Arizona

Filed under: DrugsWacky, Tacky & TrueFitnessHealth

Walmart Weed logo

Earlier this year we discussed the pot-growing supply superstore, weGrow, that opened up in northern California.

We knew this place would be big and our predictions are coming true! The store, nicknamed the "Walmart of Weed", has opened up its first location outside of Cali in Pheonix, Arizona!

The store that refers to itself as "the nation's only hydroponics franchise that openly talks about medical marijuana", opened its biggest branch yet in the state after voters approved medical marijuana last fall.

The grand opening on Wednesday features indoor growing demonstrations, expert panels on building professional grow rooms, a physician to evaluate patients interested in obtaining a medical marijuana card, and classes teaching how to safely grow the plant.

Founder Dhar Mann is predicting 100,000 residents in Arizona will obtain a card to buy the controlled substance, but so far only 4,000 have.

A federal lawsuit, filed Friday by the states Attorney General and Governor questioning the legality of the medical marijuana proposition passed by voters, may not help weGrow's business grow either.

Mann, however, remains not only faithful in his business, but the future of the pot industry, saying:

"Medical marijuana cultivating, dispensing, and consuming will exist with or without governmental approval. It's time to tax and regulate this industry so legitimate business people and patients are not criminalized."

Although voters approved the progressive law, we've sadly seen OTHER progressive laws overturned, so only time will tell if Arizona gets to keep legal weed.

Walmart Might Test Grocery Delivery Service

Walmart Might Test Grocery Delivery Service

OMG this would be awesome!

Walmart is planning to test an online delivery service for groceries in San Jose, California.

This would be phenomenal because it could significantly cut down on car emissions!

Said Matt Nemer of Wells Fargo:

“Wal-Mart needs to get more serious about e-commerce, so that would be interesting. Grocery delivery works in urban markets, and they already do it in the U.K., so they have experience.”

We support this! Do it, Walmart!
