Behold the power of generosity and Twitter!
Ben Stiller made a deal and a pledge with Yahoo! to start an online charity campaign through his Twitter account. The company agreed to donate $1 for ever Twitter used that clicked on an online photo Ben posted of himself at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in France.
As of this morning, Yahoo will be donating $50,000 to Ben’s campaign and Ben will be using that money to build a school in Haiti!
He tweeted out the happy news this morning, saying:
“Hey – woke up in Europe to learn we reached our goal of 50 thousand shares – Thank You!! Yahoo will build us a school in Haiti.”
Amazing! Ben and his 50,000 followers should be very proud! Congrats!
