George Michael Stuck In Jail, Abandons Bail Application

Although George Michael has been sentenced to 8 weeks in jail, the singer was trying desperately to get out.
“George is desperate to get out of Pentonville and still can’t quite believe he’s there,” claims a source. “He’s pinning all his hopes on a judge giving him bail.”
The argument is that the sentencing is excessive and that bail should be set because Michael’s jail term could have ended before any appeal is heard.
But his prior record may have been the problem as the defendant’s legal team are no longer asking for special requests.
“The bail application has been abandoned,” said a spokeswoman for Blackfriars Crown Court in London.
George’s lawyer would not comment on the decision.
