George Michael's Ex Arrested After Allegedly Wrecking The Late Singer's Home: It's 'Completely Destroyed'

George Michael's ex arrested for trashing his home

It sounds like George Michael’s ex-boyfriend has overstayed his welcome.

According to The Sun, former hairdresser Fadi Fawaz was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly wrecking the late singer’s London home, where he’s been squatting ever since the Wham! singer died on Christmas Day 2016 at the age of 53.

A police spokesperson said officers responded to a report of “a man seen on the roof” of the property around 7 p.m. local time after neighbors reportedly heard loud smashing noises and saw water gushing out the front door.

By the time police responded, the 46-year-old was reportedly “no longer on the roof but inside the address,” which was said to have “extensive damage.” The rep continued:

“Due to the damage inside the property the London Fire Brigade attended. The man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal damage. He has been taken into custody at a north London police station.”

Police didn’t go into detail about the damage, but neighbors were more than willing to spill the tea.

After Fawaz’s arrest, a nearby resident told the British outlet that the damage inside the singer’s home is “really bad,” adding:

“I’ve never seen anything like it. Every fixture and fitting, every door and window, everything George left in there – it’s all completely destroyed. Even the toilets and sinks have been smashed. There’s major damage to the walls and even the ceilings.”

Whoa…

The neighbor went on to theorize:

“This can’t have happened in just one night, he must have been systematically smashing the place up for a long time. It’s such a shame because George loved that place and it used to be so beautiful.”

So sad.

The arrest comes shortly after Fawaz was accused by neighbors of “going berserk” by breaking multiple windows and fan lights in his ex’s luxurious $6 million mansion

An eyewitness claimed to The Sun at the time:

“There was glass flying everywhere. He went absolutely berserk.”

Another onlooker said:

“He just started going crazy and smashing up the place. It was scary.”

When asked about the broken windows by the outlet, Fawaz contended he was simply “renovating” the place and “changing things around,” adding:

“I can ask when it’ll be done and let you know. It’s alright, it is all in hand.”

Now, it appears things have officially gotten out of hand.

As we reported, Michael’s family has been struggling to get Fawaz to vacate the premises ever since the pop star’s untimely death. Fawaz is technically a squatter on the property, and previously claimed squatter’s rights to remain there indefinitely.

The family still plans to force Fawaz to leave the estate in their battle to regain control of Michael’s properties and his estimated $150 million fortune, but the star’s squatting ex will definitely be putting up a fight. A source previously told The Sun that Fawaz said to his friends:

“I’ll only be leaving in a box.”

Or in handcuffs, apparently.
