George and Amal Clooney have sadly had to evacuate their home in France!
In case you didn’t know, according to The Associated Press, wildfires four times the size of Paris are currently sweeping the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of southeastern France. Over 3,000 people have been evacuated in the region, as well as 224,000 in the Gironde region, and 63,152 people down in Spain. It’s been awful! And sadly, George and Amal have been among them.

The couple have a home with their 9-year-old twins Alexander and Ella in the town of Brignoles, and in a letter to mayor Didier Bremond, they revealed they were fleeing. The letter reads:
“Dear Didier, At this point we have no idea whether our beautiful home makes it through this terrible moment. As we evacuate Brignoles we want to emphasize 2 things, first we hope you and the people of our city are safe and second that Amal and i are committed to making sure that whatever happens to our village, we are part of this community and we’ll be part of making it whole. We love Brignoles and our friends who live there.”
So scary! Our heart goes out to George and Amal, as well as everyone in France and Spain who are being affected by these fires!
