A week after being admitted to the hospital following a terrifying suicide attempt, Carrot Top is now back home with his family.
According to People late on Friday night, the Las Vegas-based prop comedian and entertainer is back home with his fam and purportedly doing well after being released from the hospital following a week-long stay there to recover from what has been reported as a very serious and terrifying suicide attempt.

As we’ve been reporting, and backed up now by police records viewed by People, TMZ, and others, Carrot Top apparently tried to die by suicide one afternoon last week at his home. He was found near his pool in his backyard, after calling one of his team members while completely distraught.
He was subsequently rushed to the hospital, where he was put into critical condition and began receiving care. Now, at least, the famous red-haired comedian (whose birth name is Scott Thompson) is back home and on the mend.
Of course, he’s been in Vegas for years. He’s had a long-running residency at the Luxor for more than two decades now, since 2005.
A statement put out by his rep last week, while Carrot Top was still in the hospital, said that his family was grateful for all the well wishes he has received from people even that early on in the recovery:
“Scott and his family remain deeply grateful for the extraordinary kindness and continue to ask that his privacy be respected.”
Let’s just hope the recovery process continues from here on out.
