South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are not only admitting to copying the Inception parody from the College Humor website, but they’re also apologizing for it.
Co-creator Matt said that they had a short turnaround and they were unable to find a copy of the movie before the episode’s deadline. He added:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós just because we do the show in six days, and we├óΓé¼Γäóre stupid and we just threw it together. But in the end, there are some lines that we had to call and apologize for. We thought their joke was that a lot of those lines were actually in the movie and they were banging them against each other, and showing that the Inception characters didn├óΓé¼Γäót even know Inception. That was a mistake, and it was an honest mistake.”
At least they’re owning up to it. Who cares, right?? It was still a funny episode.
