Apparently the infamous arch-nemesis of Charlie Sheen, Chuck Lorre, has been having meetings about going ahead on Two and a Half Men without Sheen, and has been thinking about who could replace him.
The sources say that Lorre and Co. have been in contact with Rob Lowe‘s representation, and that he could be in the running as a permanent substitute.
Nothing has been decided yet, and it looks like there’s a short list of possible replacements, but the meat of it is that Lorre has been holding internal meetings and seems to be interested in keeping the show alive past all this mess.
Lowe, who is on Parks and Rec right now, might not even be able to do it anyway for that reason. The other reason would be that he’s pretty close to the Sheen family to begin with.
We say that if he could do it, he’d be an incredible choice. He’s had a bit of a come-back recently with his roles on both Parks and Recreation and Californication!
