We can’t imagine a world where this WOULDN’T happen!
Adele‘s 21 straight up was number one for its ninth week in a row in the UK, and her single Someone Like You climbed right back up as well, claiming five out of the past six weeks at #1.
So what does this mean for her, 9 weeks?
“It’s just over ten years since any album spent nine weeks in a row at No. 1 in the U.K.; the Beatles’ “1” compilation achieved the feat from November 2000 to January 2001. “21” is the first album by a solo female to spend this long at the U.K. peak since Madonna’s “The Immaculate Collection” exactly ten years before that, from November 1990 to January 1991.”
It’s hard not to stress that she deserves every moment of this! She and her voice and her album are just INcredible!
Congrats, Adele! We love you!
And apparently so does everyone else!
