Will she be a judge? No, probably not. As is very evident by her most recent magazine interviews, Mariah Carey is VERY pregnant and is going to be quite busy being a momma any day now.
However, during a radio interview this week, Simon Cowell revealed that Mimi will play “a role on the live shows,” as the two recently met and Simon found that he “literally adores her.”
Well, who doesn’t?! HA!
Simon joked that if they did hire Mariah as a judge, they’d have to move the show to a “maternity unit,” which we aren’t sure why he thinks that is a bad thing – we know we’d watch! (We kid, we kid.) However, even though Mariah is out of the race for a judges spot on X Factor, Simon reveals that the decision is “getting close” to be made on the other two.
Thank goodness. We’re just dying to know. It’s getting slightly unbearable, all this waiting!!!
But yay for MiMi being part of the show in some capacity. We would have loved her as a judge, but quite frankly, we would rather see her pushing a stroller than pushing people off stage, you know?
