Just… wow!
This is most impressive, Mother Monster!
It looks like GaGa’s new record isn’t just doing well in the States, because it exploded onto the charts in the UK as well! By how much?
Well, how about this: Born This Way (the album) has outsold the rest of the top 10 combined.
COMBINED! That’s so incredible!
It sold a staggering 215,000 units, narrowly beating out Adele‘s 21 debut numbers which were a most wonderful 208,000 units.
Also, probably because of that awesome two-day sale that Amazon.com had where the album was only 99 cents, we’re being told that GaGa’s first week numbers are going to be around 1.15 million sold in the first week.
That’s just mind-blowing, and the gurl has gotta get some credit where it’s deserved. She did a hell of a job with it all, from the production to the marketing — it was like a perfect storm of rad!
Congrats, GaGa! We’re proud of you, and hope those sales continue at an awesome pace!
Did U get a copy yet??
