On Sunday, same-sex marriage will be official in the state of New York, and Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will be on hand at the first ceremony to perform for the happy couple!

She announced via Twitter:

Gonna sing at the celebration of the first gay marriage officiated by Mayor Bloomberg this weekend. So honored and excited!

Yay!

Such a thoughtful gesture to celebrate such a momentous and proud day in the state’s history!
