Julie Taymor To Take The Lion King To Madrid

Fun! Wonder if she’s going to rework it at all?

Julie Taymor announced today that she will directing the Broadway version of Disney’s The Lion King in Madrid. The Spanish production has no start date yet, but rehearsals start today and we think having the original director for the show speaks volumes. Last time she helmed this show, she won a Tony.

Which is a lot more than she can see for the last show she worked on!

Good luck, Julie! Break a leg!
