This morning, Kelly Ripa was joined by David Hyde Pierce as her co-host on Live! and he marked the ocassion by sharing some very happy news with their audience. Back in the fall, David directed a musical comedy called It Shoulda Been You at George Street Playhouse and that show is now headed to Broadway!
The New Jersey production starred Lisa Howard, Tom Deckman, among others, but there has been no official announcement concerning casting or an opening date.
We haven’t seen it ourselves, but we’ve heard good things about the production about a young couple facing the alter as well as conflicting parents, religions and the reappearance of the bride’s ex!
Such a farce! LOL! Congrats, David! Looking forward to the show in fall 2012! Woo!
