What if Vanessa Lachey hosted X Factor instead of Brit Steve Jones? Can you picture it? Well, it almost happened!
Lachey says that she tried out for the gig back in the day before they decided to go with Jones.
She said that following on her audition:
They went with a British guy [Steve Jones]. You can’t get more polar opposite, so I am OK with that. Now if the host was a brunette girl in her early 30s, I would be like ‘wait a minute!
Jones’ performance as X Factor host was bleh. His future with the show? Also bleh.
Same for Nicole Scherzinger, though her performance was just awful.
But Lachey is ok if Jones does get canned. She landed the co-host spot on ABC’s Wipeout.
