Get excited, guys! Jennifer Hudson has signed on for a multi-episode arc in the next season of Smash!
The feisty Oscar winner will play Veronica Moore — a Tony Award-winning Broadway vet who “impacts the lives of Karen (Katharine McPhee) and Ivy (Megan Hilty).”
Sounds inneresting! But by impact, do they mean in a Fairy Godmother way or an Evil Stepmother way?? We can’t wait to find out!!
Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement:
“This series is a showcase for some of the best musical talent in the business and that├óΓé¼Γäós a fitting description for Jennifer Hudson. Her character will represent someone who reached their Broadway dream but also paid a price for it.”
Ahhh… we think we’re getting the idea now.
Well, one thing’s for sure! If her beautiful face doesn’t bring in extra ratings, we don’t know what will!
