You’d think someone as like, awesome, talented and knock-out gorg would have the confidence to do practically aaaanything.
But Charlize Theron has an Achilles heel, and it is… performing on stage!
WFT, right?
You’d think that an actress would enjoy acting in any medium, but Charlize explains:
“I’m just not made for that kind of live audience where you don’t create a fourth wall. I take my hat off to those guys. It’s not disconnected enough for me. Some people are good at performing in front of people like that, but I’m uncomfortable with it.”
She hates live performances SO MUCH, that when Young Adult director Jason Reitman asked her to take part in his theatrical readings at the El Lay County Museum of Art, she told him simply:
“I will jump off a building for you, but I will not do that.”
Guuurl, thats some serious stage fright!
Stay off the stage, we don’t mind.
Keeping out of a theatre and on a studio lot means we can count on a new Charlize-y flick twice a year!
