Unfathomably sad!
Reg Traviss — former boyfriend of the late, great Amy Winehouse — was arrested in England last month and local police have now charged him with two counts of rape.
A prosecutorial lawyer revealed:
“I have authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Reginald Traviss with two counts of rape…. The alleged offences took place between 29 December 2011 and 1 January 2012.”
Late last year we reported Amy and the 35 year-old fledgling filmmaker were in the early stages of wedding planning before she tragically died of alcohol poisoning — this was just months before the crimes were committed.
It’s crazy how much a person’s life can change in the span of a year!
Rape is a most heinous crime, but Reg will have a chance to defend himself in court next month. We’re interested to hear what he has to say for himself.
