Piers Morgan was not happy on Monday night.
Missouri Rep. Todd Akin was SUPPOSED to be be interviewed by the Brit on Piers Morgan Tonight, but proceeded to bail last minute!
So last minute, in fact, that the only subject the CNN host was left to talk to was an empty chair.
The Republican is under fire for his televised comments regarding “legitimate rape” and a woman’s ability to “shut that whole thing down,” which was reference to the female body’s reproductive organs.
Since Morgan kept his word to appear across the table from the Congressman, he was more than a little peeved that Akin did not keep his and had some choice words for the politician (above).
Before calling his would-be interview subject a “gutless little twerp” for canceling his appearance, the talk show host asked Akin to keep his “promise to appear on the show” sometime in the future.
Akin has an “open invitation” to defend his comments on national television and we look forward to being thoroughly entertained when he tries to.
