Puddle of Mudd may have rose to the top of modern rock last decade, but that’s not stopping the lead singer’s life from falling apart in this one.
Wes Scantlin narrowly avoided jail time in July after pleading guilty to a felony cocaine possession charge. In order to stay of out the slammer, the rock star was supposed to attend a probationary drug counseling program AND stay out of trouble for 18 months.
Well, that plan didn’t work out too tell. He’s gone and committed ANOTHER crime by interfering with a flight crew and forcing an airplane en route to El Lay to make an emergency landing in Austin, Texas.
He was apparently acting obnoxiously drunk, he got in a verbal fight with a flight attendant who refused to sell him more booze.
The troubled musician was arrested for public intoxication upon landing and could also face up to 20 years in prison (on top of his cocaine possession charge) and a maximum fine of $250,000 if charged for interference with a flight crew.
What a puddle of mess!
