Bummer! If there’s ever a time we need to laugh, it’s times like these!
Unfortunately, Jimmy Kimmel Live in Brooklyn is cancelled for tonight due to the threat of Hurricane Sandy. ABC released a statement that said:
“We are hopeful to be back on the air tomorrow night with Howard Stern, Tracy Morgan and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.”
But Jimmy Kimmel isn’t the only one being better safe than sorry. The NYC-based Daily Show and Colbert Report have also cancelled their tapings and will be airing reruns.
Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman will tape their shows without a studio audience.
The storm is hitting the big screen too! Tonight’s premiere of Seal Team Six has been pushed to Thursday. Many movie theaters have closed down for the day, and the national box office is expected to take a hit of around 12%.
Unfortunately, those aren’t the only theaters affected; all of Broadway is also going dark today in anticipation of the storm.
Be safe everyone! We hope you’re just fine! How amazing would it be if this whole thing just, well, blew over?
