Awww Ginger Spice!
We swear… the tears are simply from too much spiciness, we’re not getting sentimental about anything!! LOLz!
In an open letter to all Spice Girls fans, the sexiest spice of them all Geri Halliwell gave a big, heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the dreams of five young girls come TRUE by supporting one of the most popular bands in HISTORY!
SO so incredibly sweet for such a spicy lady!
BUT as well as giving major props to the fans, Geri also wrote about the spirit behind Viva Forever — the Spice Girls musical that premieres TONIGHT in London — and even gave up some inside deets!
Geri explains:
“Just so you know the story isn’t about the Spice Girls, but instead it’s story that belongs to you, about our times, our culture, who we are as a nation now with very relevant issues – fame, adoption, growing up, growing older, fractured families and what’s really important in life.
Back in the day we realised the importance of the strength and energy we feel when we come together and support each other, and thankfully it’s still there today , like a family. A stellar cast has been picked, we dropped in to make sure!
All the main characters have that ultimate essence of us… What we are about; love, friendship, identity, you’ll figure it out!
But best of all Viva Forever is a party, our celebration, where you and I come together and feel joyful.”
Gaaa we can’t even WAIT to hear allll about Viva Forever‘s premiere! It’s destined to be a classic…
How could it not be? They’ve got the Absolutely Fabulous Joanna Lumley involved and the play includes everything anyone ever loved about the Spice Girls: heart, friendship, love and AWESOME freaking pop songs!
