Recovering Manorexic Afraid Of Solid Food

Marc Corn, a young man from the UK, is trying to recover from anorexia.
As a child, he was overweight and bullies used to make fun of him for being “fat.”

“When I was 14 I weighed [238 lbs.] and was tormented by bullies who called me fat.”

Because of this, he developed a fear of food and eating in front of people.
Between ages 14 and 19 he lost around 140 pounds!!
Normally that’s something we’d applaud if he did it through diet and exercise, but he didn’t… he just stopped eating.

“I got incredibly skinny, you could see all my bones jutting out. But I preferred looking like that to feeling fat.”

That’s crazy.
He’s at least on the road to recovery now, though he still can’t eat in front of people or eat solid foods.

“I refuse to eat in front of people. But at least I can eat – and that├óΓé¼Γäós something. I can├óΓé¼Γäót pinpoint exactly what it is, but I really am scared of eating solid food.”

We’re glad he’s at least eating again and on the road to recovery.
Stay strong, Marc. You can beat it.
