Khloé Kardashian is getting real about her struggles with her relationship with food.

During a new episode of her Khloé In Wonder Land podcast, the 41-year-old answered a few fans who sent her messages for advice. One of the messages was from a fan who said they were “struggling with self confidence issues”. They mentioned binge eating, and Koko revealed that she could relate — because she admitted she also used to struggle with the same thing:

“When I was younger, I used to binge eat. I went to therapy about it. Any emotional thing I turned to food. And there was no stopping me.”

Wow…

She went on, talking about how she used to eat so much it made her “sick”:

“I would eat, eat, eat, literally get sick, then feel disgusted with myself for how much I ate, cuz you’re eating like pizza or fries. It’s horrible food. Then be in such a shame spiral that I start eating again because I’m in such shame. So it was a vicious cycle.”

The Good American founder admitted her divorce from Lamar Odom was a “catalyst” that got her “obsessed in a healthy way” with exercising and eating healthier:

“I realized during my marriage that I ate so much and I would eat my feelings.”

Following the breakup, she said she got a gym membership, then eventually invested in a personal trainer. With all the hard work she put in, plus getting help from a therapist, she said:

“For me, it was mental. I loved how I felt.”

Khloé also revealed she didn’t have a certain body type in mind when she started working out and getting healthier, she just wanted to feel comfortable showing off her tummy. In the end, exercising became her biggest helper in recovery:

“I honestly feel like the more you exercise, the stronger your mind will feel, and the clearer you’ll feel mentally.”

What a brave story to share… Listen to her for yourself at the 10:13 mark (below):
