Jordyn Wieber Has No Regrets!

Aww, such a good and positive outlook!
We love it!
Jordyn Wieber has asserted that she has NO regrets after her Olympic performance!
We are SO proud of her, and we don’t think she should have any regrets, either!
Hell, she even learned that she did indeed suffer a stress fracture in her right leg — and she still powered through it.
Of course, you’re all probably thinking about the heartbreaking fact that she finished fourth in all-around qualifying and was denied the opportunity to compete for individual Olympic gold (even as the reigning World Champion) because international rules allow only two gymnasts per country in the finals.
It hurt and it sucked, but she’s a boss — her performance just two days later helped the U.S. win the gold medal.
Here’s what she said:

“I think all the ups and downs made me a much stronger person. The team needed me to be strong.
“Most people say I’m inspiration to them that I showed a lot of grace and class and that makes me really happy. That’s something I strive for, to try to be a good role model for all the young girls and young gymnasts.”

As it turns out, Wieber had already been struggling with training before the Olympics because of a heel injury, but refused to blame her mistakes on it

“Once I got out on the floor, adrenaline took over and I didn’t really feel it that much. That affected me a little bit. I know that eventually affected my performance. In the end, I have no regrets. I know injuries come with the sport and you have to deal with it and I’m glad I fought through and finished out to the end.”

Handled like a true Olympian!
Like we said, Jordyn, we (meaning America) are truly proud of you!
We’re glad you’re back home!
