A woman residing in New Jersey has been charged with elderly neglect after police found her mother-in-law locked in the basement.
After city officials inspected the basement itself, they concluded it was unfit for any person to live there.
WTF??
Police were alerted about the home from an anonymous caller who had complained the house was overrun by cats.
After the police arrived they found a shovel had been placed through the basement door’s handles to keep it closed.
The person in the basement was 89-year-old lady named Delphine Linden. Police say she appeared disoriented and couldn’t answer basic questions.
How can someone treat another human being like this?
Hopefully, the elder lady will recover from this traumatic event.
