Catholic School Fires Teacher For Using IFV To Try And Get Pregnant

Not in God’s house!
A Catholic school teacher in Indiana, who was fired after she told school officials that she needed to use sick days for fertility treatments to become pregnant, is suing her former employers and is claiming she was unlawfully terminated.
The teacher was well liked by students and co-workers alike and was given the go ahead to take time off for her first round of treatments.
But when the second round of treatments came along, the school officials told Emily Herx that she was a “grave, immoral sinner,” and subsequently fired her.
Woah.
Herx, who is married, was unable to conceive children any longer because of complications from the delivery of her previous child.
So, she was basically fired for trying to have more children?
The bishop at the school said:

“In vitro fertilization … is an intrinsic evil, which means that no circumstances can justify it.”

Isn’t there a little something called separation of church and state? Does that apply to a case such as this?
