I think we’re just as excited as Alexander Skarsg├â┬Ñrd is about his 208-mile trek to the South Pole!!
We were ecstatic that he was invited to be on one of three teams racing to the southern most location on the planet, along with Prince Harry and Dominic West from The Wire! We mean, seriously, it sounds like a movie!
They’re doing it for an amazing cause, and here’s what ASkars had to say about it:
“I’m part of the U.S. team and I was just honored when they asked me. It’s called Walking With the Wounded, the charity. We’re gonna ski to the South Pole with three teams with four wounded soldiers on each team├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥a British team with Prince Harry and Dominic West from The Wire is with The Commonwealth [Canadian-Australian] Team and I’m with the Americans.
“I had an opportunity to meet [my team] for the first time last week in California. Two guys and two girls. Amazing, amazing people. I’m really honored,”
So freakin’ fab!
We can’t wait to hear all about the training and the adventure, and of course see amazing pics and video from it!
It’ll be hard, but it sounds waaaay worth it!
