We’re titillated to report Big Little Lies alums and award show smooch buddies Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgård will be sharing the screen again in a new film from The Witch director Robert Eggers!
The former costars, who played a married couple in a volatile relationship in the acclaimed HBO series, are set to play the leads in a feature film titled The Northman, which is described as a Viking revenge saga set in Iceland at the turn of the 10th century — which is good, because we know from BLL they can bring that barbaric heat to a scene.
We also know they can share more sweet and tender moments together — like they did at the 2017 Emmys when Skars memorably gave Kidman a big ‘ol smooch right in front of her husband, Keith Urban.

Lest we forget (and the internet sure didn’t), the True Blood alum won Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his portrayal of abusive husband Perry Wright in Big Little Lies. He approached Nicole on his way to the stage, and they shared a tender lip lock — all while Urban applauded enthusiastically a mere two feet away:
The kiss sent the kid sibling that is Twitter into a frenzy, which made Nicole have to awkwardly downplay their obviously palpable chemistry in the following weeks. But as Eggers knows, heat like this shouldn’t be forgotten: it should be used to spark some wild Scandanavian sex scenes.
In talks to join the duo are Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe, and Alexander’s own brother Bill Skarsgård.
