It looks like Taylor Swift is looking to add an Oscar to her long list of accomplishments!
Swifty is no stranger to on-camera roles, seeing as she had a part in Valentine’s Day three years ago and made an appearance in New Girl earlier this year, and we’re starting to think Tay-Tay has been bit by the acting bug!
The singer landed a supporting role in the upcoming film The Giver with Hollywood’s best actors, Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Katie Holmes, and Alexander Skarsg├â┬Ñrd, and she is still in shock that it even happened!
Tay dished on her on-set experience:
“I couldn’t believe it was happening to me. I still can’t believe I shot in South Africa and shot all my scenes with Jeff Bridges. It was unreal.”
We can definitely imagine having the same feelings. At least it didn’t throw you off to the point where you couldn’t do your scenes!
Because that would’ve been totes unprofessional! LOLz!
The singer-songwriter said she hit the ground running when she got onto the set, revealing:
“I just tried to work as hard as I could and just throw myself into that environment as much as I possibly could.”
“I learned so much. It’s crazy how educational just getting into a situation and doing it [is]. You learn so much more…I have taken acting classes and read as much as I possibly can on it and done theater before all this started, [but] you learn more by actually doing it than you could ever learn in preparation.”
Actually experiencing it is a lot different than learning and reading from a book!
We wonder if Taylor asked for any advice from her famous co-stars. They probably have lots of words of wisdom up their list! Especially since they’ve been in the business for a very long time!
Do we smell Academy nominations on the way for the talented entertainer?!
