When Ellen DeGeneres opened up the Oscars on Sunday, we were totally hoping for hilarity! What we actually got? A whole bunch of shade!
And Liza Minnelli was dealt a whole palm tree!
Although the 67-year-old star made some faces when the camera panned over to her, Liza is finally speaking out about her thoughts on the Oscar hosts’ drag queen jokes!
She said:
“I think she thought it would be funny, but she never stopped after she said it and said, ‘My friend Liza Minnelli.’ So I think it went a little astray on her. I don’t think she meant any harm at all. She’s a wonderful lady.”
Liza handled that with such grace!
Ellen should maybe think twice about poking fun of this AH-Mazing lady next time!
