We can’t believe any mother could do this to their child.
A North Dakota mother named Jessica Lee Jensen will stand trial for one charge of murder and one charge of child abuse against her 13-year-old son after he passed away this past January.
Authorities determined that he died of starvation, and weighed only 21 pounds at the time of his death.
AWFUL.
The extremely thin boy, Aidan Edward Bossingham, was found in the mother’s home, which was filled with feces and garbage, and police believe she waited more than two hours to finally report the boy’s death. She has been charged with failing to report a death, as well.
When the police were finally called they found the boy’s stiff body was “very thin, only bones with skin on them”.
Although Jessica Jensen’s attorney tried to argue that the teenager died of an untreated disease, and not deliberate starvation, the judge presiding over the matter found enough evidence to have the mother stand trial for the possible murder of her son.
The mother has pled not guilty to all of the charges against her.
The detective in the case Laura Forbes told the court that she believed that the mother never wanted the son. She claims the mother admitted to her that she used to lock the boy up in his room, and police also discovered the windows in the house to have been boarded up.
The mother told investigators that her son had a hormonal growth problem, and that every time she tried to feed him something he would throw it up. However, she never brought him to a doctor or sought medical advice. Which is outrageous.
The pre-trial conference is set for this September.
We can’t believe a human being could be capable of such deliberate mistreatment of another person – let alone a mother doing such atrocious acts to her son.
Hopefully the court will get to the bottom of this sickening and tragic tale.
