Arnold Abbott is a 90-year-old man and friend to homeless people everywhere.
The Florida man has been feeding Fort Lauderdale’s homeless people since the early ’90s but only recently a new law was made that requires a permit to be able to feed the homeless.
Which means he’d also have to do things like provide portable toilets to be in compliance with the law.
Well, that’s pretty intense as far as rules go… and Abbott was issued a citation earlier this week for feeding the homeless. Oh, and just last night was cited again for the same thing!
After his first arrest he said he’d continue to help the homeless regardless and fully expected to be stopped by the cops again.
And he totally was.

He’s fighting for the homeless because under the new law, it’s prohibitively expensive for churches and non-profit groups to feed the homeless legally.
Before his most recent arrest, Abbott fed the homeless for about 45 minutes as a crowd of supporters gathered around him.
Once he started talking to local news, the police moved in and took him away to cite him again.
Maybe the local legislators will listen up and change the law because of the light Mr. Abbott is shining on this ridiculous new rule. Plus, you know, he’s doing a GREAT THING.
Keep fighting the good fight!!
