Well, we enjoyed the Emmys!
The award show had several funny and memorable moments last night. Not only did Andy Samberg do a great job as host, but Viola Davis becoming the FIRST African American woman to win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series was inspiring!
Unfortunately this wasn’t enough to pull audiences in as it only managed 11.9 million total viewers on Sunday — 20 percent down from last year’s award show.

We knew the early numbers were low, but we had no idea how low! It’s actually the worst-rated Emmys of all time!
Last year’s ceremony — on NBC rather than FOX — likely did better because it aired in August on a Monday not in September on a Sunday — facing off against NBC’s Sunday Night Football, which nearly doubled the amount of viewers!
What do you think? Do these Emmys numbers surprise you?
