Kamala Harris Makes Surprise Appearance On SNL! Chappell Roan Debuts New Song! All The Highlights HERE!

Saturday Night Live is ready to “keep calmala and carry onala”!

John Mulaney took up hosting duties for this weekend’s installment of the sketch comedy show — but before he could crack jokes in his opening monologue, a VERY special someone made a surprise appearance! The cold open features a skit about Kamala Harris and Donald Trump campaigning in battleground state Pennsylvania. James Austin Johnson once again plays the former President, while Bowen Yang plays JD Vance. On Kamala’s side of things, Maya Rudolph once again takes up the mantle of the VP, while Jim Gaffigan plays Tim Walz, Andy Samberg plays Doug Emhoff, and Dana Carvey plays Joe Biden. In the sketch, Kamala (played by Maya) sits down in front of a mirror and reflects on the campaign:

“Wow, well, this is it. The last campaign stop in Pennsylvania. Gosh, I wish I could just talk to someone who’s been in my shoes, you know? A Black, south Asian woman running for president, preferably from the Bay Area.”

The camera then cuts to a view of Maya’s reflection in the mirror — and it’s the REAL Kamala!!! In a suit matching Maya’s!!! OMG! After a deafening roar of cheer and applause from the crowd, the potential next POTUS says, “You and me both, sister.” She goes on:

“It is nice to see you, Kamala. I’m just here to remind you: You’ve got this. Because you can do something your opponent cannot do. You can open doors.”

The joke was seemingly in reference to Trump appearing to miss the handle of a garbage truck door while trying to open it in Wisconsin recently.

Maya then asks Kamala to “take my palmala” before going on an iconic spiel:

“The American people want to stop the chaos.”

Kamala chimes in:

“And end the dramala.”

HA! Maya then says:

“With a cool new step mommala. Kick back in our pajamalas, and watch a rom-comala.”

Kamala suggests, “Like Legally Blondala,” before Maya continues:

“And start decorating for Christmas. Fa la lalala. Because what do we always say?”

The two then cheer in unison:

“Keep calmala and carry onala!”

Later in the episode, Chappell Roan took center stage to sing her hit song Pink Pony Club while wearing a shimmering white gown on an intricately-designed stage. Watch (below):

She later debuted a BRAND NEW SONG titled The Giver, but the official SNL social media accounts have since taken the performance down. But for those who missed it, it’s a certified LGBTQ+ country banger where Chappell sings about being able to “get the job done” that men can’t! See a peak of her outfit in gif form (below):
