Doesn’t it feel like a million years ago since 25 first dropped?
Adele may have been absent from the music industry for three whole years, but based on how successful her third studio album has been since it came out back in November, you wouldn’t be able to tell.
After breaking records during both its first and second weeks, the 27-year-old’s follow-up to 21 hit yet another major milestone over the weekend… its 8 millionth sale in the U.S. alone!!!

To put this into some perspective, Taylor Swift‘s 1989 is only at about 5.65 million and it’s been out for more than year longer than Adele’s.
25 now joins the already-historic 21, Norah Jones‘ Come Away With Me, Eminem‘s The Eminem Show, Usher‘s Confessions, and 50 Cent‘s Get Rich or Die Tryin‘ in the 8 million and over club for the 21st century.
What record do U think Adele will break next??
