Throughout her long career, Pink has never been one to bite her tongue — even if it meant calling out a music legend!
During a radio interview with Nova FM‘s Fitzy & Wippa on Thursday morning, the Just Like Fire songstress spoke out on the tragic passing of Prince — and remembered calling him a “rude f*ck” at the beginning of her career!

When asked if she had ever crossed paths with the Purple Rain singer, she admitted:
“I actually had an argument with Prince once├óΓé¼┬ª It was about owning your own masters.”
For those who don’t know, owning your own masters refers to an artist’s rights and ownership of their original recordings — and Prince was very protective of his music rights.
Pink recalled:
“I asked him to collaborate with me. He asked if I owned my masters. I told him ├óΓé¼╦£no, I didn’t’ because I had just actually got a record deal so it was a little early for me to be demanding my masters back. He told me to call him when I did. I told him he was a rude f*ck, then I went on stage.”
We bet he wasn’t expecting that reaction from an up-and-coming artist! Ha!

Due to her young age at the time, the pop/rock star didn’t realize the funk icon was just trying to help her out, adding:
“I was 19 at the time, so I didn’t see people from good places back then.”
The now 36-year-old made it clear that she has nothing but love for Prince, lamenting:
“With Prince and [David] Bowie and others…the world lost a lot of sparkle this year and it’s left a hole in my heart because I don’t know what’s going to replace it…These people are irreplaceable and it’s just really, really sad.”
We couldn’t agree more! Take a listen to a clip from the interview (below)!
