As we previously reported, Prince‘s autopsy results were revealed on Thursday, showing that the singer did in fact pass away due to an opioid overdose.
New details are only now emerging.

According to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s office, the late artist died specifically from a self-administered Fentanyl overdose. In case you don’t know, Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opiate, which is usually used as part of anesthesia.
