It’s hard to imagine it was only a year ago that Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton called it quits on their marriage.
However, the blonde beauty doesn’t seem afraid to open up about her difficult past 12 months as she took to Instagram on Tuesday in order to celebrate the success of her new track Vice amid the anniversary of her divorce. Hmm, go on.

The last year of my life has been one of heartache and healing, … Of learning to be honest …. Accepting the flaws and celebrating the smiles. Finding peace in dark places … having some moments alone with me. Facing fears and feelings… All of them. I got to know my guitars…became friends with a pencil and paper … Used melodies to lead me places I had never been…. Made music with my friends. Because music is medicine. This means the world to me. Thank you for joining me on this journey. #vice #musicismedicineA photo posted by Miranda Lambert (@mirandalambert) on Jul 19, 2016 at 12:43pm PDT
As you may know, this song is Miranda’s first single since breaking up with The Voice judge. Wow.
Although Miz Lambert hasn’t confirmed whether or not the track is specifically about Blake, the lyrics are certainly heartbreaking… so it wouldn’t SHOCK us if the country crooner inspired the anthem.
Nonetheless, Miranda and Blake have since found love again as the Came Here To Forget artist is dating Gwen Stefani and the 32-year-old is seeing Anderson East. My how things change…
