Brody Jenner may be a reality star, but he’s not quite living in reality according to Twitter.
The Hills alum got some serious backlash over his use of the hashtag #AllLivesMatter after endorsing a message saying the recent police shootings have “nothing to do with race.”
Video: Courtney Stodden SLAMS Brody Over ‘Derogatory’ Comments!
On Sunday, Brody’s friend Taylor Mosher posted an Instagram comment criticizing the conduct of Terence Crutcher and Keith Lamont Scott, the two black men who were shot and killed by police over the past two weeks.
Caitlyn Jenner‘s son then reposted the message, adding his own out-of-touch commentary wondering why “everything these days is about race.”
The now-deleted post read:
“I normally don’t speak about this type of stuff, but this is just ridiculous. I can’t even watch the news anymore without getting pissed off. This has nothing to do with race. White, black, brown, any color├óΓé¼┬ªif you have an officer of the law telling you to exit your vehicle (or do anything for that matter)├óΓé¼┬ªyou comply. And not only do you comply, but you do so willingly and follow directions completely. And why in the world would you exit that vehicle with a weapon in hand (allegedly?!) That makes no sense! And if, let’s just say, you DON’T have a gun, why would you not put your hands up in the air and state “I do not have a gun” so that the officers can clearly see that you don’t??”
Well there you go! According to Brody Jenner, the poster boy of white privilege, these victims are just REALLY bad at showing police that they aren’t dangerous.
To top it all off, Brodes posted a pic on IG after getting heat, with just one controversial hashtag as the caption:

Thankfully, Twitter users were quick to call out the professional DJ for his comments, swiftly reminding him he has no idea what the f*ck he’s talking about for MANY reasons.
Critics pointed out that Jenner lives in a right wing-leaning bubble with the rest of his famous family and was using #AllLivesMatter to deny the experience of black people.

Brody Jenner, like the rest of the Kardashians, is not trending off of his talent, but off black men. Sounds about right…

I’m less and less surprised when “celebs” like @BrodyJenner discuss current events and are completely misinformed and unaware.

While it’s no excuse, @BrodyJenner has been in a bubble of privilege his entire life. He’s never been harassed by cops for being Black.

@BrodyJenner is unaware of what his statement actually means, but I’m not surprised…he doesn’t even understand the situation at hand.
